The smith machine one leg toe raise builds serious calf strength and size on each leg separately. It fixes muscle imbalances while giving you explosive push-off power.
1. Set the Smith machine bar at shoulder height and step under it with the bar across your upper back. 2. Lift one foot off the ground and balance on your working leg with the ball of your foot on a platform or step. 3. Lower your heel as far as possible to stretch your calf muscle fully during the smith machine one leg toe raise setup. 4. Push through the ball of your foot to raise your heel as high as possible, squeezing your calf at the top. 5.
