The lying dumbbell extension builds strong triceps and adds size to your arms. It targets the back of your arms better than most other exercises.
1. Lie flat on a bench holding dumbbells with arms straight up over your chest 2. Keep your upper arms still and slowly lower the dumbbells behind your head by bending at the elbows 3. Lower until you feel a good stretch in your triceps during the lying dumbbell extension 4. Push the weights back up by straightening your arms, squeezing your triceps 5. Repeat the lying dumbbell extension movement for your target reps
• Keep your upper arms locked in place throughout the entire lying dumbbell extension movement • Control the weight on the way down - don't let gravity do the work • Stop when your forearms are parallel to the floor during lying dumbbell extension • Squeeze your triceps hard at the top of each rep
