Exercise Description

The lying on floor tricep extension (rope extension) exercise builds tricep strength while you lie down. It targets your triceps from a unique angle for better muscle growth.

How To

1. Set cable machine to lowest setting and attach rope. Lie on floor with head near machine. 2. Grab rope with both hands and lie flat on your back. Keep arms straight above your chest. 3. Lower the rope by bending only at your elbows. Keep your upper arms still during the lying on floor tricep extension movement. 4. Stop when rope reaches your forehead. Feel the stretch in your triceps. 5. Push rope back up by straightening your elbows. Squeeze triceps at the top of the lying on floor tricep extension.

Form Tips

• Keep your upper arms locked in place during the lying on floor tricep extension. Only your forearms should move. • Don't let your elbows flare out wide. Keep them pointing toward the ceiling. • Control the weight down slowly.
