Exercise Description

Dumbbell flys build chest width and create that coveted rounded chest look. They stretch your pecs through a full range of motion for maximum muscle growth.

How To

1. Lie flat on a bench holding dumbbells above your chest with arms slightly bent 2. Slowly lower the dumbbells out to your sides in a wide arc, feeling the stretch in your chest 3. Keep your core tight and feet flat on the floor throughout the dumbbell flys movement 4. Squeeze your chest muscles to bring the dumbbells back up in the same arc pattern 5. Complete your dumbbell flys reps with controlled movement - never rush the motion

Form Tips

• Keep a slight bend in your elbows throughout the entire dumbbell flys movement • Focus on squeezing your chest muscles at the top of each rep • Don't let the dumbbells drop below chest level during dumbbell flys • Breathe in as you lower, breathe out as you lift back up

Common Mistakes

• Using too much weight and turning dumbbell flys into a pressing movement instead of a fly • Dropping the dumbbells too low and risking shoulder injury • Moving too fast during dumbbell flys instead of controlling the weight
