1. Start in a standard push-up position with hands slightly wider than shoulders 2. Lower your chest to the ground, keeping your body in a straight line 3. Push back up to the starting position using your chest and arms 4. At the top, push your shoulders forward and round your upper back for the "plus" movement 5. Return to neutral position and repeat the full push up plus sequence
• Keep your core tight throughout the entire push up plus movement • Focus on the shoulder blade movement during the "plus" part at the top • Don't let your hips sag or pike up during the push up plus • Control the movement - don't rush through the steps
• Skipping the "plus" part and just doing regular push-ups • Letting your lower back sag during the push up plus movement • Not fully extending arms before doing the shoulder blade protraction
